William DuVall (September 6) - Vox/guitar Has own record label, DVL Kip (William) Duvall played guitar and wrote the music for Neon Christ, an Atlanta hardcore band that was active circa '83-'84 and released one record, the Parental Suppression 10 song EP (Social Crisis, 1984). Pushead praised the 7" in Thrasher magazine as "Rapid-fire, pistol-packed bolts of hauling mayhem, expressing a headlong franticness of Georgia thrash...sheer turbulence of speed and intensity in the tradition of D.R.I., that creates a sonic desolation...Neon Christ bring forth a full steamahead whirlwind of boisterous onslaughts, making this EP a must for all radical thrusters...." No Walls (mid-to-late 80s), a Hendrix inspired prog-thrash-soul band that released a locally popular CD on Third Eye Records. Co-wrote a song called "I Know" for Dionne Farris 1995

(Who influences your guitar playing and what influences your lyrics?)
"On the guitar-- Hendrix, Greg Ginn (Black Flag), Jimmy Page, Sonic Youth, Peter Townshend, Chris Cornell/Soundgarden, Tom Verlaine (Television), Carlos Santana, Keith Richard, Billy Duffy (the Cult), Stone Temple Pilots, James "Blood" Ulmer, Keith Levene (PiL), Tony Iommi, and The Edge -- just to name a few. Instead of just lyrical influences, I think we should expand this more generally to include songwriting influences as I have a difficult time thinking of lyrics and music as two separate things when I'm writing. My best things tend to drop out of the sky as completed works. They play in my head just like records (that haven't been made yet). Some of my main influences are Lennon/McCartney, Smokey Robinson, PJ Harvey, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Bowie, the Gershwins, Jagger/Richards, Chris Cornell, Gamble&Huff, Hoagy Carmichael, Sam Cooke, Bono/U2, Iggy and the Stooges, Fats Waller, Leiber&Stoller, Marvin Gaye, Otis Blackwell, Brian Wilson, Duke Ellington, Prince, Holland/Dozier/Holland, Chuck Berry, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Astbury/Duffy, and Radiohead.
