COMES WITH THE FALL - THE YEAR IS ONE - DVL
Please be sure and read the interview with William Duvall in this very issue for more information on this amazing unsigned band. This is the second full length and the follow up to "The Murder Scene EP" which was released early this year. CWTF is a band with many different sounds, the only other band I can really compare them to is Soundgarden. The music is sometimes in your face and gritty, sometimes is slow and melodic, and sometimes its doomy and grooved out. This album is a little bit heavier and more in your face than the mostly mellow self titled release. A great thing about this band is the heaviness they achieve from their music yet they don't use heavy distortion or tons of down tuned guitars instead its a rough gritty sounding distortion played with tons of emotion. That is what makes the band what they are, emotion. You can almost feel the singer's words as if they were your own. This is why I love the band because they can play a heavy and in your face song and make you feel the anger in the singers voice, or they can play a slow love song and make you feel the warmth or sorrow as well. If you are wondering about quality when its comes to this band, fear not the CD was record in Royaltone Studios, mastered in Sony Studios, and sounds like it came straight off the store shelf. I love this CD and hope that this can help gain some new fans for this amazing band. So please read the interview for more information.
